Sand Worm

Attack: Deal physical damage to one target.

► Hole

Gravity (Counter): Reduce one target’s remaining HP by half.

Strategy
Sand Worm often retreats into its hole, and if you accidentally attack the hole it will counter with Gravity. Slowing Sandworm helps. Try not to queue all characters’ actions at once, do a few at a time just to make sure you won’t be accidentally hitting a hole. If you have Carbuncle, you can use it to reflect all the Gravity casts so you don’t take damage.Alternatively you can use Retaliate.

Recommended abilities: Retaliate, Carbuncle
Recommended RW: Lunatic High, Boon

Strategy
Just ignore the Launchers and go for the main body, use your hardest hitting lightning abilities. If anything, they are all vulnerable to Paralyze, so Intimidate is useful.

Also, Carbuncle can nullify the Launchers’ Missiles, you may wish to take advantage of that.

Treatment: Recover some HP.
Haste: Grant Haste to one target.
Protect: Grant Protect to one target.
Shell: Grant Shell to one target.
Strategy
He’s back with a vengeance, on Elite his HP sees a steep increase. Below a certain amount of HP, Gilgamesh will grant himself Haste, Protect and Shell.Draw Fire + Retaliate is still effective, but he has other abilities to watch out for now so beware!

An alternative strategy is to use Berserk, which should limit Gilgamesh’s abilities to mainly just Attack (and Haste/Shell/Protect when low HP). Slow is also a good way of controlling the fight.

  1. Why no stats for Leena? Her MC is not out yet, so she is a “new” character in this event.

    1. I’ll include her stats when the event releases. I only have her stats at level 80 which isn’t exactly relevant yet!

      1. Lv HP Atk Def Mag Res Mnd Acc Eva Spd
        1 158 7 6 10 9 12 20 20 92
        50 2678 65 51 93 94 123 22 22 118
        65 3449 83 67 118 116 152 23 23 127
        80 4220 101 83 143 137 179 23 24 136

        1. Thanks, I was actually most interested in her RMs. Did you know those?

        2. That is some sexy mind and resist though.

          1. Best Mind, however not very good Resistance. Celes has the best resistance so far and an awesome SB (Runic).

Do not get me wrong; I love Lenna. I consider Lenna as the best single-healing white mage. However, there are other white mages that have an all-ally healing SBs, like Y’shtola’s Medica II and unlike Mass Regen. If Mass Regen was HEAVY Regen, then yes.

  2. According to this, Galuf has two Record Materia. However, I have researched this second one and it is not implemented until the 15th dungeon update.

Is it true that we have to wait until that update? If not, how can we get it? I would love to put this on “White” Cecil.

    1. What I mean if “white” I mean “paladin”. I just got that from the Japanese translation. Not to offend.

      1. You are right, his 2nd RM is not available now. I should add a note there, thanks for spotting it!
