Attack: Deal physical damage to one target.
Thundara: Deal moderate lightning damage to one target.
Red (Magic form)
Tentacle: Deal physical damage to one target.
Aspil: Reduce the remaining ability uses of one target by half.
Thundara: Deal moderate lightning damage to one target.
Quake: Deal earth damage to all targets.
Biora: Deal heavy poison damage to one target. (Additional effect: Poison)
Purple (Physical form)
Attack: Deal physical damage to one target.
Lost Blow: Deal heavy physical damage to one target.
Strategy
The Lost Number consists of two halves; the purple half which performs physical attacks and the red half which casts magic. After a certain threshold, the Lost Number will change completely into one of his sides. He changes form depending on the attack that caused it to reach the threshold:

  • If the damage was inflicted by a magic attack, Lost Number will turn red and gain a substantial increase in MAG and RES. It will attack with powerful magic from then on. In this state, it has lower DEF.
  •  If the damage was inflicted by a physical attack, Lost Number will turn purple and gain a boost in ATK and DEF. It will attack with strong physical attacks from then on. This form has low RES.
  • If the damage was inflicted via Poison ticks, no effect will happen until Lost Number takes a physical or magic damage. Thus, if the player chooses to defeat Lost Number with Poison only, he will never change form.

Intimidate and follow it with Armor/Mental Break(down) to take it down quick. You could also Poison it if you want for extra dps.

Generally it doesn’t really matter what form it changes into. If anything, just react accordingly. That is, if it turns purple, Power Break it; if it turns red, Magic Break it.

Recommended abilities: Intimidate, Poison, Armor/Mental Break(down)
Recommended RW: Cross Slash, Status Reels, Deprotega, Advance

Strategy
Thankfully he doesn’t have as much health as he did in Sephiroth’s event. No confirmation on how much MND he has this time, though. Strategy
Most of us have fought her several times already, this one should  be a cakewalk as she has much less health than before. If it’s your first time against her, note that she attacks twice a turn so without proper control you can be overwhelmed. Slow her and shield your party with Protectga/Lunatic High, at the same time Power Breaking her. Magic Break can also be considered, but out of all her abilities, only one of them does magic damage.

If you have Sephiroth’s OWA, then this battle shouldn’t be a problem as you can Blind the boss easily. Otherwise, Dark Buster is recommended here. Couple that with Power Break(down).

Turk Light: Deal heavy physical damage and Confuse one target.
*Pyramid: Imprison one target in a pyramid.
**Electro-mag Rod (Counter): Deal heavy lightning damage to one target.
► Rude:
Attack: Deal physical damage to one target.
Fire: Deal fire damage to all targets.
Strategy
*About Pyramid: If someone gets stuck in Reno’s Pyramid, you’re going to have to break it from the outside. Targeting the Pyramid and hitting it with melee attacks is your best bet! If every character is in a Pyramid, it is considered a Game Over.
**About Electro-mag RodThis attack is triggered as a counter whenever Reno takes lightning damage.

If you have Sephiroth’s OWA, you are at an advantage.

You want to start with Sentinel’s Grimoire and/or Protectga right away. Reno’s Turk Light hits like a truck without mitigation, so what you want to do next is to blind and Slow Reno. If you keep him under control this way, there wouldn’t be a lot of Pyramid spams that we all love… to hate.

Rude hits pretty hard and he does frequent AoE damage with his Fire. Unfortunately, he can’t be silenced or blinded, so for those reasons, it is advisable that you take down Rude first.

Given that the duo resists Breaks, consider Shellga and Protectga to reduce damage taken. Couple that with Sentinel’s Grimoire and you should be fine!

  1. Cave-In is magic based. He tends to spam it a lot more if you hit him with blind. Hit me for about 1500 without buffs. 300-500 with Sentinel Grimoire.

  2. Materia Keeper in Elite+ drops GWO

    1. and Demon Gate+ drops GHO

      1. Jenova BIRTH+ drops Greater Wind Orb
