  • Whenever one part is destroyed, the main body takes a huge damage.

Damage dealt by hulls cannot be mitigated. The best (albeit risky) way to approach this fight is to go all out on the parts with AoE like summons, Quake (yes, Quake works), Ruinga, Meteor, etc. including your RW. Your black mages should also have at least a few uses of single target spells as destroying all 4 parts may not necessarily be enough to take the main body down.

Strategy
  • Cid Raines switches to the different stances at random.
  • When approximately half of his Hit Points have been depleted, Raines will use Metamorphose.

He has a wide variety of attacks especially after below the 50% HP mark, tank up with Sentinel’s Grimoire and use Breakdowns. Slowing him is also recommended. You can also bring Protectga/Shellga, but do note that he can dispel during Recovery Shift.

If you have a friend with Lightning’s SSB, you can make the battle end much faster. Otherwise guard yourselves against Bahamut’s attacks with Lunatic High or Boon. If you have a well honed Stop that will help too.
