Commentary
Plant Brain begins the battle with Pollen, blinding the whole party. There are a few options for you:

  1. Wait for the debuff to naturally wear off while tanking its attacks. (not recommended)
  2. Blindna/Esuna
  3. Bring a mage heavy party.

Use its debuff vulnerabilities to your advantage. Blinding it helps reduce a lot of damage. Its tentacles can hit for at least ~2000 to front row!

Mustard Bomb: Sap one target.
Fire Blades: Deal massive fire damage to all targets.
Fira: Deal fire damage to all targets.

Commentary
You don’t have to bring it to its Fire state now that you are only required to exploit its holy weakness, but if you’re going to use fire against it I suggest blinding it as well so that Fire Blades will not be too punishing. Alternatively you can use Ice / Water attacks to douse the fire and bring it back to its Normal state.

Other than that, Magic Breakdown helps.

Strategy
Another pretty straightforward fight. Use defensive Breakdowns or defensive buffs coupled with a defensive Soul Break like SG/SS2. Exploit the Ark’s elemental weaknesses for a quick fight. Again, Blind is excellent here.

Strategy
  • When Silver Dragon is airborne, melee attacks won’t reach, and it has increased RES as well.
  • Hitting Silver Dragon with a Jump-type ability while it is in the air will cause it to exit its “airborne state” and enter its “ground state”, losing the bonus RES as well.
  • Silver Dragon’s attacks are all ranged, meaning characters in the back row take full damage from its attacks.

Be careful when using Jumps, when Dragoons are in the air, they are effectively out of battle. So if you are applying buffs/mitigation, do take note!
