Chadarnook (Ultimate) switches between two forms, Goddess and Demon, as it attacks! In Goddess form, Chadarnook counters everything except holy attacks with a debuff attack, but holy attacks will cause it to change into its Demon form. Use this to your advantage by attacking with holy damage before it reaches the third turn and uses Entice to Confuse the entire party! Its Demon form is immune to physical attacks until you use magic to hit it with holy damage. After a set number of turns, it will revert to its Goddess form, so time your attacks carefully or risk them getting countered!

  • Chadarnook will switch back from Demon to Goddess form after receiving damage five times.
  • Chadarnook can only be defeated in Demon form; the Goddess will regenerate if she runs out of HP.
  • If the Demon switches to Goddess while under Sleep status, the debuff will persist through the transition.

As you can see, Goddess’s Counters are pretty intimidating. The best way to approach this fight is to only fight when Chadarnook is in Demon form.

If you foresee trash being a problem, Carbuncle is a great option since all trash cast single target magic only.

As for Holy Dragon, you’ll want to set up your mitigation on the round prior before the boss. This is so nobody gets instagibbed by Holy. As long as you keep mitigation up this shouldn’t be a problem. Alternatively, you can use Exdeath’s SB to absorb white magic spells including Holy.

To control the Holy Dragon, you can chain Stop it, or use Sleep and follow up with magic.
