Gatling Gun: Deal moderate physical damage to all targets.

Crawler (Overclocked)

Mana Beam: Deal very heavy non-elemental damage to all targets.

► Negator

Attack: Deal physical damage to one target.

Strategy
  • As long as Negator is on the battlefield, you cannot use magic or Soul Breaks. During this time, Crawler can only use Gatling Gun.
  • When Negator dies, Crawler will start counting down to Mana Beam.
  • After using magic a certain number of times, Negator will respawn, and Crawler will revert to using Gatling Gun.

Start by Power Breaking Crawler to reduce incoming damage. At this point you can choose to ignore Negator and just go for Crawler with physical attacks, or kill Negator so you can use spells. You can Slow Crawler to buy some time so you can kill it before is uses Mana Beam.

Flame Breath: Deal fire damage to one target.
Aqua Breath: Deal large water damage to all targets.
White Wind: Restores a moderate amount of HP to all targets.
Haste: Haste one target.

Strategy
  • When Yenke dies, Biran gains Berserk.

Kill Yenke ASAP so that Biran is berserked (hence locking his abilities to mostly just physical attacks). Use defensive Breakdowns on both of them while taking them down either one by one, or using AoE for efficient damage. For extra insurance against their magic attacks, use Shellga/Protectga

Regen: Give one target Regen, restoring HP over time.
Esuna: Remove all debuffs from one target.
Strategy
If you plan to bring a mage party, do note that Sanctuary Keeper casts Reflect on itself, so you might want to either bring Dispel, or bring Reflect and bounce magic off your own characters. Otherwise, a team of physical attackers will do just as well. Apply Break(downs) where necessary.

► First form

Attack: Deal physical damage and remove Protect/Shell/Haste from one target.
Absorb: Deal physical damage and drain HP from one target.
Sleep/Silence/Blind (Counter): Sleep/Silence/Blind one target.

Second form

Attack: Deal physical damage and remove Protect/Shell/Haste from one target.
Hellbiter: Deal physical damage and Sap all targets.
Holy: Deal massive holy damage to one target.
Absorb: Deal physical damage and drain HP from one target.
Attack (Counter): Deal physical damage to one target.

Third form

Attack: Deal physical damage and remove Protect/Shell/Haste from one target.
Hellbiter: Deal physical damage and Sap all targets.
Holy: Deal massive holy damage to one target.
Osmose: Reduce number of remaining uses of an ability from all targets.
Mind Blast: Deal special magic damage and Confuse all targets.
Absorb: Deal physical damage and drain HP from one target.
Mega Death: KO one target.
Attack (Counter): Deal physical damage to one target.

Strategy
  • When Yunalesca goes below a certain amount of HP, she changes into her Second form, and and then subsequently her Third form (after going below a certain amount of HP).
  • Yunalesca (in her Second and Third form) will use Holy on any character affected by Sap caused by Hellbiter.
  • Mega Death, used by Yunalesca in her Third form, will KO any character not affected by Sap.
  • FYI, Regen cures Sap status. Beware when using Regen SBs like Hymn of The Fayth.

Looking at her abilities, it is definitely not recommended to bring Lunatic High or Boon for obvious reasons.

This whole fight is not only about surviving the battle of attrition but playing around her Hellbiter and Mega Death mechanics. While Sap is a debuff you do not want to have on for a long time in battle, in this case it is better for characters to be Sapped because effectively they are immune to Mega Death. That said, they will be subject to Holy instead.

Recommended abilities: Shellga
Recommended RW: Sentinel’s Grimoire, Stoneskin II

  1. If that’s the official image, then DeNA fucked up Lulu’s pronouns. :V

    1. Just DeNA doing DeNA things….

  2. Having a hard time getting excited about another FFX event.

  3. I have a question regarding your site. How can I tell if a boss is immune/vulnerable to slow? I don’t see a slow box on any of the bosses in the status vulnerabilities part. Are bosses vulnerable to slow if they are vulnerable to haste?

    1. When you see “Throw”, that is actually Slow. It is just Google Translate issues when trying to translate JP text.
